Vocational Education & Training
Vocational Education and Training programs (VET) are delivered by Institutes of Technical and Further Education (TAFE) and and private RTO’s and offer award programs (Certificate I, II, III, IV ( 6 months – 1 year) diplomas and advanced diplomas (1–2 years) ) and a pathway to university programs.
The academic requirements to enrol in VET programs are:
– Certificate III (Year 10 or equivalent)
– Certificate IV (Year 12 or equivalent)
– Diploma (Year 12 or equivalent)
– Advanced Diploma (Year 12 or equivalent)
Vocational Education and Training centres are generally quite flexible and positively value the work experience of the applicant. There are also places offered to mature aged students (25+ years).
English language requirement
To study an academic program at a Vocational Education and Training centre you need to have a minimum English level of IELTS 5.5 or the equivalent. Some programs require an IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
