Study + Work
Australia offers international students the opportunity to work while stuyding.
Finding a job to help pay for your living expenses is probably the biggest worry for most international students. Unemployment rates in Australia are around 6% so there is work available. Also, the institution where you choose to study will offer a range of services (assistance with your CV, information sessions on the job market in Australia and how to find a part-time job etc) Some will also have a job finding service.
Although most part time student jobs tend to be in the hospitality and services sectors, you shouldn’t rule out finding work in other areas. It all depends on your English level, availabilty and the offers. It is also important to know that there are no restrictions in what sectors you can work in nor the job as long as as you fulfill your study program requirements (attendance & evaluations).
