When I moved to Australia to study water management, I realised I could not have chosen a better place to do so. Australian people have an outstanding environmental awareness, they value their fauna and flora, and the country is so widespread that it offers almost every water resource issue that exists in the world.
With a degree in international economics, specialising in water governance, I found I needed a greater understanding of the engineering and science of water management, but most advanced education programs focused mainly on a single area of study.
When I discovered the International WaterCentre (IWC) Master of Integrated Water Management, a co-badged degree from four Australian universities and delivered through The University of Queensland, I knew I’d found exactly the right program for me.
It covered all the subjects I was interested in. I enrolled, and made the big move to Brisbane, Australia – a step I will always be glad I made.
As a result of this unique experience, I have developed a network of friends and skilled professionals all around the world. I have started my own venture, Global Water Jobs, a multi-disciplinary employment website specialising in water management worldwide. I could not have done this without the amazing experience of the Master of Integrated Water Management in Australia.
