Bachelor of Pharmacy
Our pharmacy degree is ideal for those who like to help people, enjoy chemistry and biology, and want to step straight into a well paying career. Extensive relationships with leading pharmacists and service providers in Tasmania and abroad inform your learning experiences, and these connections provide significant work-integrated learning opportunities throughout your studies. We ensure you can take advantage by offering a minimum of 450 hours of professional experience placement during your studies. As a limited intake course you will also enjoy a low student/teacher ratio at all three campus locations, as well as significant practical experiences, which combine to deliver a highly supported education with significant hands-on and industry experience upon graduation. Bachelor of Global Logistics and Maritime Management
Gain high-level expertise and understanding of maritime business and logistics in the global arena. You will learn the critical components of maritime trade and international logistic practices to acquire specialist insight into practical challenges. You can tailor your study experience by selecting a course major in an area that interests you. You can also select an optional second major from our extensive range of courses to deepen your knowledge further. This course articulates from the Associate Degree in Global Logistics and Maritime Management and provides high-level expertise and knowledge to understand the maritime business in the global arena, the world-wide spanning logistics services and strategies, as well as the structuring, operation and coordination of supply chains.
Bachelor of Biomedicine
Your studies include core subjects across a breadth of biomedical sciences, including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, neuroscience, genetics, immunology, and microbiology. In addition, this degree offers a choice of two majors that provide specialist knowledge and skills in either medical research or medical sciences. You can also choose to study both majors, greatly broadening your career options upon graduation. Our biomedicine course is designed and taught by active medical researchers at the Tasmanian School of Medicine and the School of Health Sciences. It also draws on the expertise of our specialist research and teaching institutes: the Menzies Institute for Medical Research, and the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre.
Graduate Certificate in Social Care
By studying the Graduate Certificate in Social Care (International Pathway), you will gain necessary knowledge and skills that can be applied in various social care settings, such as aged care, housing support and disability. The Graduate Certificate is composed of the first semester of the Master of Social Work (Qualifying) enabling advanced standing into the Masters course. You will engage with important issues such as decolonisation, Indigenisation, sustainability, and collaboration. You will also focus on developing direct practice skills in assessment and intervention, ensuring you are well-prepared for diverse roles in evolving workplaces.
Master of Pharmaceutical Science
Teaching is primarily based on hands-on training through individualised laboratory-based interactive sessions. The overarching goal of the course is to equip you with basic and advanced laboratory and analytical skills commonly utilised within pharmaceutical industries and research laboratories. Our approach prepares you for real word employment environments in the pharmaceutical industry and beyond. The testing of practical abilities is designed to provide you as well as potential employers, with the confidence that you come equipped with skills that translate into minimal onboarding times for laboratory-based job opportunities.
Master of Strategic Communications
This popular two-year Masters degree taught at our Media School on the waterfront of the Hobart CBD has been developed in consultation with industry to give graduates expertise in professional-level communications in one of four specialisations – Environmental Conservation, Marketing Communication, Public and Environmental Health or Tourism and Experience. The degree includes an 80-hour internship, giving students that all-important relevant work experience to include on their resume.
